Farmers Cooperative Management Program (FACOMAP)

Our Farmers, though without formal education, are good producers of Agricultural products in the continent. They have succeeded where the younger generation shy away from (Agriculture practices), using crude implements and old varieties of farming inputs. Our aging men and women farmers are considered to be the major producers of our food in Nigeria and have the potentials to be more productive if given the right inputs, information, skills, farming techniques and proper market linkage.

YISA FACOMAP is designed to organized and manage existing farmers cooperatives by rendering extension services to them as a cooperative to enhance their Agricultural productivity while linking them to ready market up-take their produces using the expertise of our young dynamic and ICT oriented Agriculturist members across the areas of our YOCCAP value chain (Rice, Cassava, Tomato, Oil Palm, Sorghum, Soybean, Poultry, Fisheries, and Mechanization).

This will address the problems of low yield, inadequate skills, reduction of produce losses during post harvest operation and poor commodity prices due to lack of access to market and marketing factors such as produce transportation, intangible produce quantity and quality to take advantage of economies of scale common among our unorganized farmers.
